I don't often do sketch challenges, but I quite liked this one at Lawnscaping (nice and CAS):
And I saw this card on Loll's blog, which led me to this colour challenge at The Paper Players:
(I'm also a huge fan of Heather Telford's masking and sponging technique, go and check out her blog.)
Ardyth of Maskerade was kind enough to nominate me for a Leibster award (thanks again, Ardyth!). If you don't already know about the award, here's the lowdown.
ABOUT THE AWARD
This award was designed to be a blog award in the pay it forward fashion. Once you've been nominated, you award it to blogs that you like that have fewer than 200 followers, to encourage new visitors to visit these new blogs.
RULES FOR ACCEPTANCE
Thank the person who gave you the award and link back to their blog. Post the award onto your blog. Give the award to five bloggers who you appreciate that have fewer than 200 followers. Leave a comment on their blog letting them know that you have given them this awesome award!
PAY IT FORWARD
Here are the five blogs that I'm nominating. If you haven't visited these blogs before, go and have a look. Better still, follow them then you won't miss out.
Shirley - love how you minimized the sketch and yet the card is still true to it - wonderful colours! And the texture on that flower is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice surprise today, Shirley! Thanks so much for nominating my blog for this! I'll be sure and pass it along!!! :)
ReplyDeleteLove your card too! The flower is one of my favorite colors!!! Love the simple design!!! :) I keep hearing people talk about Heather & I need to go visit her blog!
Love the scalloped edge and stitching lines that are a stamp - a wonderful way to add details without layers. Your flower is so pretty - love that soft blue!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for mentioning my blog and nominating it for the Leibster award. So appreciated!
Your card is another winner, Shirley, just stunning in its simplicity!
ReplyDeleteThank you SO much for the compliment of being nominated for the Leibster Award! I have had this pleasure in the past and because of that, would you like to edit your post to replace my name with another blogger who has never won a Leibster? It's such a thrill! Whatever you decide, thank you again!!
Hearts,
Darnell
That’s a really generous gesture, Darnell, but the nomination stands. Even though you have already received a Leibster award, you still meet the criteria: a blogger I appreciate with fewer than 200 followers. Just accept that at least two bloggers have appreciated you enough to nominate you!
DeleteThanks so much for the nomination - looks like a bit of fun! I've noticed your name around site a bit lately and I love all your creations.
ReplyDeleteI love how crisp and fresh and clean this card is.
