The challenge at The Paper Players is to make a CAS project featuring banners.
The challenge at Runway Inspired Challenge is to create a project from this inspiration photo:
I paired the colours of the outfits and the runway and made them into banners using a Sizzix tag die set. Some of the banners are textured, and some of them are shiny. Because the smaller tag die has a hole in it, I threaded some knitted ribbon through to mimic the shoelaces. I added some diamond bling to lead the eye from the banner row to the birthday row, because they didn't look like they belonged with each other.
Sentiment and brackets are Woodware FRCL069 Large & Small Greetings.
Love the ribbon threaded through the banners. Also love that stencilled tiles behind your bold sentiment ... mimics the design on the floor from Runway photo.
ReplyDeleteWow Shirley! Great composition! Love how you picked up the details of the photo and incorporated them into your card: shoelaces, the bling to effectively move the eye down and the splash of yellow for the murse (isn't that what they call a man purse?). Sweet!
ReplyDeleteOh this is wonderful! So unique!! The ribbon through the banners was a brilliant idea!!! Thanks for playing along with us at the Paper Players!
ReplyDeleteVery creative Shirley to turn the tag upside down for the banner and I like the ribbon woven through the little holes!
ReplyDeleteYou nailed this one - it's amazing - so many elements and details and still a clean feel! Love it!
ReplyDeleteWow, what a clever way to do your banner! That ribbon threaded through looks great, and I love the background stamped behind the greeting - so stylish! Thanks for playing along with the Paper Players this week!
