The challenge at colourQ this week is to use these colours:
I wanted to keep as much white as possible in the design. It's my second attempt - in the first attempt I had the sentiment bottom-right and three dragonflies at the top, but it didn't look at all balanced. I coloured the leaf stamp roughly with Tombow so that it was streaky (deliberate, honest!) then dragged the colour around a little bit with a water brush. The dragonfly is from the same set at the leaf (Hero Arts CL477 Delicate Leaf Clusters) and the sentiment is Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz Good Thoughts CMS085.
Lovely card and sentiment, Shirley! thanks for joining in the fun at the colourQ this week.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous - I just love the effect you achieved on those leaves!
ReplyDeleteColor-rific Shirley... the little dragonfly is a great accent and adds great movement to the design!
ReplyDeleteSuch an elegant design, love it! x
ReplyDeletegorgeous. That leaf cluster image is one of my favorites. Love the way you've inked it. Ann
