I made this card a few days ago when I was in border-doodling mode. It's a great way of tying images and sentiments together, especially on a one-layer card. And I like how the image and the sentiment can overlap the frame, which isn't as easy to do if you are matting layers of card.
The codeword for Addicted to CAS is Sweet:
And the challenge at Simon Says is:
MERRY CHRISTMAS !! :-)
Anything Christmassy :-)
Anything Christmassy :-)
The sentiment is from Paper Salon, and the Christmas Cake stamp is from Stamposaurus Stamps.
Cute! I love the advice about tying the sentiment and the (wonderful!) image together - definitely a good trick for one layer cards, which I often feel need a 'frame' of some kind. And of course, I love the sparkle!
ReplyDeleteYour card looks good enough to eat! Looks deliciously sweet :) I love your border. I have been trying that technique a little myself lately and I think it is awesome! Thanks so much for playing along at ATCAS! xx

ReplyDeleteI've been having a meander and I don't know how I missed this ... more yumminess and another fantastically doodled frame ... tried it, didn't get the same effect yet ... more practice needed! Anita :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip for how to use the doodling borders! I'll definitely try that. Lovely card!
ReplyDeleteYour doodled border is amazing, as is your OLC card. You make the doodling look easy - it's not!! Beautifully done!!
