OK, so Darnell has challenged us to share our biggest card booboo on April Fool's Day. Not our ugliest card, but one that slipped through Quality Control. Got a photo of one of those? Me too!
Doesn't look too bad so far, does it? How about this view?
Somebody said it would be good to give to a left-handed person...
You've only got today to join in, so get your skates on and link up here.
LOL! Oh I HATE it when that happens! Such a pretty card too.
ReplyDeleteOh boy! Yes, that it very bothersome, but you can rescue it! It's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLOL, yes, been there, done it, many many times! What I do to rescue, is cut the card front off and just layer it on to another card base . . . job done! TFS. Hazel xx

LOL oh my goodness! this is too funny! such a shame but it would be an awesome April fools card to send someone : )
ReplyDeleteThank you for the BIG laugh : )
Patti
You can't have this trick, it's mine, frequently.
ReplyDeleteI do understand as I have done this myself. I then cut off the panel and layer it onto another card base. It sure is a pretty design though.
ReplyDeleteHow funny. Perfect for the lefthander.. though. Cute card..even if..
ReplyDelete"Just trim it and stick it back on," is my motto. Soft and peaceful card though:)
ReplyDeletehahaha, LOVE IT. Such an awesome card too~
ReplyDeleteI'm sure there's a whole left handed market out there! Lovely card apart from that. Cara x
ReplyDeleteYour card reflects my shared boo-boo blunder to a *t*. Don't you love that moment when you realize what you've done..and don't know whether to cry or cuss (or both?). A little 'selective slicing', another card base, panel attached and...all will be *righted*! Better yet, give it to someone left-handed who will appreciate its uniqueness!
ReplyDeleteHugs~c
Been there... Done that! :)) Jo x
ReplyDeleteOh how many times I've done this! (you cut off the front, and stick on it again...which can make the card too heavy!) Love the design, and it's a very pretty card! Happy A/F Day and TFS
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty card, Shirley! And then, "Wha-?" It's the little boo boos that seem BIG when they happen to us! I like the suggestion to send it to a leftie! That would be a great save! Happy April Fool's Day and thank you so much for playing in my first BFCBB Hop!! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteI suggest you give it to someone and then wait to see how long it takes for them to actually realise what the 'difference' is. Too pretty not to give away. Being left handed I would probably be quite grateful.
ReplyDeleteOh....groaning with you here because one of the prettiest cards I ever made was put together exactly like that!!! I only recently tore the "front" off to mount as a layer on a different card!!! TFS!

FAB card. TFS. What a cool boo boo :) Lucky this is an easy one to fix.
ReplyDeleteBeen there, done that. Last year, I posted a card with a panel that I mounted upside down. I used some post-it tape to keep my card closed and popped it against a mug to take my picture and posted it on my blog at http://marianne-cards-n-stuff.blogspot.gr/2015/09/another-nbus-card.html. Afterwards, I trimmed the front and mounted it onto a new card.
ReplyDeleteSomething we've all done, but not many are brave enough to share! I hope you've reused it as a card front, it's very beautiful
ReplyDeleteJane
Yes, rescued a few done that way myself. Definitely worth saving.
ReplyDeleteOH MY GOODNESS! Your card just made me snort coffee through my nose! Yep - burst out laughing at the 'perzactly' same time as I scrolled down to your photo! So happy to know that I am not the only one to do these clever things!
ReplyDeleteGreat card front though! Sure hope you put it on another card base!
Maybe we should start a new trend Shirley - how many of us have done this - could be cards for left handed people. Love your card too and have a great weekend
ReplyDeleteThis is such a gorgeous card, no one would mind that it opens the opposite way round, Shirley ... I do the same thing ... I've even written in one without realising it!! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeletePretty card! Yes, I have done the same thing, and Hubby told me (and the card recipient) that I should have left it that way!
ReplyDeletetee hee hee - been there done that!
ReplyDeleteIt's a jewish card - they read backwards! - I have done that...easy fix... cut it along the center and glue it on a folded piece of cardstock.
