Oh, Christmas Tree!

I've been playing along with PaperArtsy Infusions.  Don't tell my Brushos, but I think I love these more!  It's that added walnut stain that makes all the difference.

The stencil is from Imagination Crafts, and the sentiment is from a Tim Holtz set.

I'm playing along with Simon Says Wednesday Challenge, Anything Goes

and Christmas Card Challenges, Anything Goes.

Here's another similar one I made in the same session:

  1. Love those Christmas trees Shirley!
I've got a few of the Infusions and they are a little grungier than the Brusho's.
I suppose it's a case of horses for courses. :)

  12. I know I'm really late, but I just saw these spectacular cards and I am weak-kneed with love!! There is a new company on the Powder Scene? And you like them better? What?! I don't think I wanted to know this, but I have to admit the color you have achieved here is tremendous!! Hugs, Darnell

  14. Shirley - Lovely card! Have you done a video showing how you got such sharp lines in the outline of the tree without getting bleed under the stencil, but the colors inside the tree are blended. - Ellen Barner

    1. Haven't done a video, Ellen - maybe next time. It's all about type of card, how heavily you spritz with water, and how long you leave it to soak. I just used my ordinary cardstock for these two. The second card was left to soak a bit longer. I've also had good results with mixed media card.
