Seize The Birthday - Cover The Card

Hello, and welcome to a new challenge at Seize The Birthday.

This time our theme is Cover The Card.  I've covered mine (almost to the edges) with patterned paper that has some random foiling, and this piece reminded me of a balloon, so I added some string to it.  The image and sentiments are from Penny Black.

I went with an orange unicorn (Jane Davenport) on a smooshed background.  The hearts are also Jane Davenport, and the flowers and sentiment are from The Bee's Knees Fairie Door.

What?  You've never seen a blue and white zebra before?  Really??  Me neither, but I thought, why not - after all, I'm in a monochromatic mood.  And that means I can play along with CAS Watercolour Challenge, Something Blue,

Sunglasses at the ready!

I've gone all psychedelic/rainbow/retro with this card.  It all started with the Distress Oxide background panel from my stash.  I cut out two sets of Lower Case Alphabet for next week's card, and I didn't want to waste the waste, if you see what I mean.  So I stamped a Groovy Lace Up Shoe and coloured it in rainbow-style with Zigs, made a sentiment banner and mounted it all onto a black card.

It's Your Day

Just popping in with a card for a couple of challenges, using my new must-have Penny Black stamps. As soon as I got them I stamped out thousands (well ok, a couple of dozen) images, so there's plenty more to come.  I'm also trying to make a dent in Mt Patterned Paper, ha!
