Seize The Birthday - Add Gold

 

It's time for a new Seize The Birthday challenge, and for this one we want you to add gold.

I sponged some Distress Inks onto a card panel and spritzed with water before stamping the image from Kaisercraft.  The butterfly is from Uniko and I'm not sure where the sentiment is from.  I mounted it all onto a gold card panel then onto my card base.

STAMPlorations Inspiration #281

 

It's Tuesday so we've got some more inspiration for you at STAMPlorations.  My inspiration comes from the Autumn 2020 edition of Somerset Studio magazine.  The face, the flowers, the bold title, the colour scheme (although my flowers are paler).

I stencilled the Pensive face onto my card panel with Hickory Smoke Distress Ink, then added some loose watercolouring with Crushed Velvet and Bundled Sage.  I stamped the Fabulous and the rest of the sentiment from Groovy Shoes in Memento inks, but the paler ink didn't really stand out enough so I gave it a drop shadow using coloured pencil.  Then I added some splatters :)  Oh, and a touch of blusher.

Seize The Birthday - Rainbow Colours

 

It's time for a new challenge at Seize The Birthday, and our theme has been chosen by Barbara - Rainbow Colours.  Mine is a very washed-out rainbow of colours (as most of them are in the UK!).

The background piece was in my mop-up stash, and all it was missing was a touch of red, so I just added some red splatters with a paintbrush.  The image stop is from Kaisercraft, the border die from Altenew, and the border stamps are by Dyan Reaveley.  The sentiment is possibly a Simon Says birthday freebie.

Sometimes, y'know, you just don't need words on the front of cards.

It's Inspiration Tuesday at STAMPlorations, and for this week's card I started by painting some broad stripes with Distress Oxide.  Once the panel was dry I stamped this image from Deepti's Beautiful You.  I had fully intended that there would be a sentiment on there, but once I'd stamped the image, it just didn't need anything more.

STAMPlorations Inspiration #279

It's Inspiration Tuesday at STAMPlorations, and today I've got a summer cocktail for you.  I used watered down Distress Oxides for my background, then on separate card I stamped the Tropical Drink - Large then watercoloured it very loosely with matching Oxides, going outside the lines and leaving a couple of gaps here and there.  Once it was dry I fussy cut it and placed it on the sentiment banner (Deepti's Balloons and Banners, which is now available in the Outlet store.
