It's time for a new challenge at Seize The Birthday, and our theme has been chosen by Barbara - Rainbow Colours. Mine is a very washed-out rainbow of colours (as most of them are in the UK!).
The background piece was in my mop-up stash, and all it was missing was a touch of red, so I just added some red splatters with a paintbrush. The image stop is from Kaisercraft, the border die from Altenew, and the border stamps are by Dyan Reaveley. The sentiment is possibly a Simon Says birthday freebie.
Pop on over to the Seize The Birthday blog for some more fabulous inspiration from the team, and from our surprise party guest, Jen, and join in with us.
A gorgeous background

This is one very pretty mop-up piece! The various black stamps and accents work perfectly with it.
ReplyDeleteThis is so different and intriguing. That mop-up style is one I need to try. I love that you used the pastel colors. We have so many great designers on this team.
ReplyDeleteThis is maybe the coolest rainbow card, I've ever seen! Love how you combined various stamps and die!
ReplyDeleteI am assuming that your mop up technique is the same as the smooshing technique that most refer to it as? I love your title much better as that is exactly what you are doing...mopping up! LOL This is such a great card!
ReplyDeleteFun soft rainbow background
ReplyDeleteGreat find in your stash! Love the soft rainbow colours and they look great with the graphic stamps, Cathy x
ReplyDeleteVery pretty background and great card. Love it in the soft rainbow colors.
ReplyDeleteMopping, huh?? That's the funnest name ever! Love the look of it on your card, Shirley. I love how you've kept everything else in BnW, and the rainbow colors are so clearly visible, even at a glance!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous! I love the subtle watercolours - amazing find in your mop-up stash.
