Happy Birthday, Nancy!

Today we're celebrating a special birthday for blog friend Nancy, aka Scandinancy Creates.  After all, it's not every day you reach 75!  Loll has created a linky party on her blog, Stamping With Loll, so that any friends of Nancy can post a card there to wish her happy birthday.

Nancy likes her stencils, so I thought I'd make a stencil card.  I used Donna Downey Flowers in Vase 2 (8x8 in) with PaperArtsy Infusions on a 7x5 pice of mixed media card.  The image didn't pop enough for my liking so I added some doodling with a Pentel brush pen.  I also got a reverse image by flipping the stencil, and did a couple more in a different colourway, so they might appear on the blog at some point.

Seize The Birthday 200th Challenge Celebration

 

Woohoo, it's party time!  Seize The Birthday is celebrating its 200th challenge, and we want you to celebrate with us.

For this challenge, we want you to be inspired by our challenge graphic, whether it's the colours, the watercolour vibe, the numbers, the balloons... just let us know what inspired you.  

I've gone with the balloons, and a nod to the colour scheme, although it's not exact, as mine's got orange in it.  The stamps and dies are from Hero Arts Festive Balloon.

For this challenge only, there is no Anything Goes option.

Hello, here's my card for Inspiration Tuesday at STAMPlorations.  I just love pairing this image with a smooshy mop-up background!  I usually pick a mop-up panel from my stash and then use the colours in that to colour my main image.  That way I know my image and background won't clash!

STAMPlorations Inspiration #285

Hello, it's Tuesday so it's Inspiration day at STAMPlorations.  I'm going through a CAS phase at the moment, so you'll see a few CAS cards scattered amongst my splattery smooshy cards over the next few weeks.  Until I have another 'phase'!

I used the sundae image from Sugar Rush, which is now available as part of a digi set.  I coloured it, fussy cut it and then set it on a doily made with a die from Bloomdala Bliss Felicity.  The Mmmm... comes from my set And Coffee.

Seize The Birthday - Diecuts Only

Hello, we've got a new challenge for you at Seize The Birthday, and our optional topping is Diecuts Only (with a stamped sentiment if you wish).  Or you can still play along with our Anything Goes option as long as it's birthday-themed.

I've used Peony Dream die from Altenew to create my flower, which I mounted onto one of my mop-up panels.  The sentiment is also Altenew.

STAMPlorations Inspiration #284

Hello! Time for another Tuesday Inspiration post at STAMPlorations, and today I'm using the waste from die cutting last week's sentiment.  If you align the 'happy' and 'birthday' dies you can use the waste by backing it onto contrasting card.  Then you can either add the letter fillers back in, or just leave them out for a funky, modern look.

I added a cupcake from Deepti's Sweet Surprise to perch on the Skinny Sentiments sentiment banner.

Hello!  It's Inspiration Tuesday at STAMPlorations, and today I've used diecuts and a stencil to create this birthday card.

The stencil is Helen's Make Marks 5, the balloon and string are Deepti's Shaker Balloons #1 and the sentiment is Shery's Skinny Sentiments cut on gold card and mirri card.  I love the way the mirri card reflects a whole rainbow of colours!  Next week I'm using the diecut waste from this card, winner!
