STAMPlorations Special Release - Hot Mess

Hello!  We've got a special release for you at STAMPlorations over the next two days from our newest designer, Queen of Snark, Chris Dring!

Chris has come up with these two fabulous snarky sets, and today we're focusing on Hot Mess (we can all identify, right?!).  The quotes are perfect for using with the ATCs colourables.

Well, I know that feeling!!  I've used a colourable ATC from Retro Fashionistas and added a splattery background and some washi tape.

My next card uses another Retro Fashionista and the Rolls stencil.

Hello, time for some Tuesday inspiration at STAMPlorations.  I've been raiding my bits and bobs stash and, inspired by @sylvievlys on instagram, I gathered together a few random items in vaguely coordinating colours, and threw 'em together!

You've got some Carved Houses, Faerie Door, Super Hero building, Fowl Play chicks, a heart from Two of Us, and a flower from Groovy Shoes.  The stamped marks are from Art Marks 2, and I doodled round the edge of the background, which was a mono print using Bloom Boldly stencil.

It's Inspiration time at STAMPlorations, and today I've got a masculine cupcake card for you.  (Need to build up my stash of masculine cards!)

I used the Cupcake Builder #1 die set to create my cupcake, adding shading and highlights, then adhered it to a background panel made using the ARTplorations Plaid Maker stencil.  The sentiment is stamped with Happy Birthday.

STAMPlorations Inspiration #345

It's time for some more STAMPlorations Inspiration, and this week I've got a Christmas card with a stencilled background for you.

I started by stamping the Christmas Baubles then sponging them with Distress inks.  They looked a little bleh, so I stencilled a Prim Pattern background using the same colours, and added more deeper colour and white highlights on the baubles.  I finished off the panel by doodling an outline in black pen and added a sentiment from Joy.

Christmas In The Air Kit #3

Christmas is in the air at STAMPlorations, and I've got a new stamp set out, called Winter Village, to go with Kit #3.  Also in the kit is a bell stencil, a CUTplorations phrase die and a pack of ephemera tiles.  

For my first card I stamped the image in Versafine Onyx Black, then watercoloured with Distress Inks and added snow with a white Posca pen.

For the second card I used the stencil and CUTplorations phrase die.

It's Inspiration Tuesday at STAMPlorations, and today I've got numbers mixed with psychedelia for you.  I used the Rolls standard stencil for my background, then cut the Numbers Plate die through the panel.  

I backed the die cut portion with black card to make the numbers stand out, and added a sentiment from Groovy Shoes, which fits nicely with the psychedelic theme, and mounted it onto orange card for a groovy look :)

STAMPlorations Spring Florals Kit

Did you see the fabulous Spring Coffee Kit special release from STAMPlorations last week?  Well, this week, we bring you the Spring Florals Kit.  There are two stamp sets (a 4x6 image set and a 3x5 quote set), two standard stencils and two mini versions.

I stamped out the flower image a few times and sloshed some colour on, then decided to cut the end sprigs off one image to use as ATCs, with the stencils as backgrounds and a quote on each.

For my card I inked and spritzed the leaf stencil and printed it onto lightweight card, which I mounted onto my card base.  I trimmed the flower garland and adhered it to the panel, along with a sentiment stamped in green.  (note to self: must use coloured inks for sentiments more often.)

Hello, and welcome to this week's Inspiration Tuesday at STAMPlorations.  This week's card was made in exactly the same way as last week's: rummage through stash, find stencil-embossed panel, add ink, add images.

The stencil background is Tribal Triangles, the text is from Art Marks 3, the red stencilling is from Make Marks 5 and the flower is from Blooming Buds.  I adhered the main stem to the panel, then added the buds and leaves (fortunately it wasn't quite stuck down at the top so I could squeeze the leaf in).  I used a black Stabilo pencil around the outline and smoothed it with a damp brush.

Hello Baby!

Hello, and Happy New Year from the STAMPlorations Team!   I've got a New Year card for today's Inspiration post, made with a background using one of Sanna's stencils, Art Flowers 1.  It's actually a reverse mop up from a card I made for the launch of Sanna's stencil.

I diecut a hologram balloon using Shaker Balloons #3, and diecut the numbers from gold card using the Numbers Plate die, and cut a pelmet using the scallop edge die from ATC Tag Builder.

Hello! Hello! Time for another Tuesday Inspiration post at STAMPlorations, and today I'm using the waste from die cutting last week's sentiment.  If you align the 'happy' and 'birthday' dies you can use the waste by backing it onto contrasting card.  Then you can either add the letter fillers back in, or just leave them out for a funky, modern look.

I added a cupcake from Deepti's Sweet Surprise to perch on the Skinny Sentiments sentiment banner.

Hello!  It's Inspiration Tuesday at STAMPlorations, and today I've used diecuts and a stencil to create this birthday card.

The stencil is Helen's Make Marks 5, the balloon and string are Deepti's Shaker Balloons #1 and the sentiment is Shery's Skinny Sentiments cut on gold card and mirri card.  I love the way the mirri card reflects a whole rainbow of colours!  Next week I'm using the diecut waste from this card, winner!

It's Tuesday so we've got some more inspiration for you at STAMPlorations.  My inspiration comes from the Autumn 2020 edition of Somerset Studio magazine.  The face, the flowers, the bold title, the colour scheme (although my flowers are paler).

I stencilled the Pensive face onto my card panel with Hickory Smoke Distress Ink, then added some loose watercolouring with Crushed Velvet and Bundled Sage.  I stamped the Fabulous and the rest of the sentiment from Groovy Shoes in Memento inks, but the paler ink didn't really stand out enough so I gave it a drop shadow using coloured pencil.  Then I added some splatters :)  Oh, and a touch of blusher.

It's Inspiration Tuesday at STAMPlorations, and today I've got a similar card to last week's.  I'd batch-stamped the Bloom Doodles flowers, and while I had the paintbrush out I'd painted a few extra flowers, so it was just a case of putting it all together.  The stencil is Helen's Make Marks 5 and the sentiment is from Everyday Sentiments.

It's Inspiration Tuesday on the STAMPlorations blog, and today I've gone with some lovely bright colours.  I stamped some of the flowers from Bloom Doodles, watercoloured them with Distress Inks and fussy cut them.

I found the stencilled card base in my stash (Helen's Make Marks 5), on which I sponged the same colours I'd used for the flowers, then spritzed lightly to get a dappled effect.  Once I'd popped the flowers with foam dots I added the sentiment from Everyday Sentiments in gold.
