Guest Designer at CAS(E) This Sketch!
Hi peeps! I'm delighted to be guest designer at CAS(E) This Sketch today! I stuck to Hannelie's sketch, honest - can you see the likeness? The balloon in the large top right quadrant, the sentiment bottom right, the bird bottom left with the hand-drawn string helping to define the quadrant, and white space top left.
The balloon is a die-cut from MFT Die-Namics Balloon STAX, the bird is from The Bee's Knees SmallBirds, and the sentiment is from Penny Black Salutations.
Pop on over to the CAS(E) This Sketch blog for some fabulous inspiration from the Design Team, and join in.
Thanks for having me, girls!

Showcased at Online Card Classes, and a Floral Background
Online Card Classes have launched their new website, and I'm thrilled to have one of my cards from the Watercolour for Cardmakers class featured on their gallery page! You'll have to scroll all the way down the page to see - my card is bottom left. My original post is here.
Bragging over, on to today's card. The lovely Bev from Happy Dance made a gorgeous card for three challenges, and it prompted me to make my own version. I am now the proud owner of some Altenew stamps, albeit freebies from a magazine. The set contains a three-part layered rose, a three-part layered leaf, a rose die, a leaf die and some sentiments.
I stamped the middle rose and middle leaf stamps with Distress Inks (Pickled Raspberry, Carved Pumpkin, Peeled Paint) onto mixed media paper then spritzed lightly with water. The bleed varied depending on the amount of water I was spritzing. The birthday die-cut is a Winnie & Walter Cutaway, and the 'wishes' is from STAMPlorations Sentiment Builders: Love.
So, thanks to Bev, I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
Colour Throwdown (why have I never played here before????)
Task For Two Tuesday - Make Your Own Background
and CAS(E) This Sketch (flip it, stretch it!)
I'm over at A Sprinkle of Imagination with another card today. Here's a sneak peek:

Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?
Are you prepared for the changes that Blogger is making? Will you be here tomorrow? Will you still have all of your followers? You've probably seen the warning notices on other bloggers' posts, but if you haven't, click here to get it from the horse's mouth. (I think I'm ok, but just to be on the safe side, I've printed out a list of all the blogs I follow as a cross-check.)
Anyway, never mind that, what about today's card? I'm playing along with CAS(E) This Sketch, and pretty much doing a straight CASE.
I'm also playing along with One Layer Simplicity Challenge, where Heather has set the challenge: The Sky's The Limit
I've used butterflies from my new set, The Bee's Knees Winged Things, and a sentiment from Shery Russ Designs Big Greetings, both of which are being released this week. Becca and Deepti also have new sets, so stay tuned to STAMPlorations for the Big Release week.
I stamped everything with Versafine Onyx Black, then dropped Distress Inks into the shapes and let them bleed together. And a bit of splatter. Of course.
That's it from me today - hope to see you tomorrow :)

Flying High
I haven't been playing in many challenges lately (too busy with last week's STAMPlorations birthday blog hop!) but I've managed to make a card for a few challenges.
I spritzed some card with Dylusion inks, then once dry I stamped the images with Versafine Onyx Black. The sentiment is from a set, 'Written Greetings' by Stamps Away and the images are from a magazine freebie set by Sheena Douglass.
I'm entering this into Virginia's View, 100% Stamped:

Floral Birthday
I've been trying to resist buying woodblock stamps, but I love the brushstrokes stamps by Penny Black, so I had to make an exception when this one was on sale.
I coloured it with Distress Markers, spritzed and stamped the main image, then just coloured the small flower, stamped it off, then spritzed and stamped it in the opposite corner. Added a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp and doodled a border to bring it all together.
I'm entering this into:

Mixed Media Card Challenge
Happy New Year! It's time for a new challenge at The Mixed Media Card Challenge, and this month our theme is "new", what else?
I stamped The Bee's Knees - Houses (available later this month), then coloured them in shades of purple, fussy cut the top line then layered it onto purple card with foam dots. Added some purple stickle firework bursts and made a wire 2015, pinning it with two purple brads.
The card was 'inkspired' by the current Inkspirational challenge:

Starry Starry Night
Popping in with a quick card that I made for a couple of challenges. The background is embossed and gold-foiled wrapping paper, which is far too nice to wrap presents in, so I used a piece for the starry sky background. I stamped and masked the houses image across a piece of card, added a sentiment then fussy cut the top edge and layered it onto the background.
The sentiment is from STAMPlorations Holiday Artsy, and the The Bee's Knees - Houses stamp set will be available in January from STAMPlorations.

Barbed Wire and Bling
So I got this grungy stamp set and thought the barbed wire circle would make a great funky punky Christmas wreath. And I still had the metallic hammered paper out from making my tag for my guest spot on Loll's Twelve Tags of Christmas so I die-cut some stars, silver-embossed a sentiment, added some gems and some gorgeous black and silver striped handmade paper.
I'm entering this one into the following challenges:
Virginia's View - All Things Metallic
CAS(E) This Sketch (slightly rearranged)
Pan Pastel - Add Some Bling
So then I made a gold version using black/gold patterned paper, sequins, washers and gems.
I'm entering this second one into the following challenges:
TIME OUT (wreath, gold overtones)
Inkspirational
Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking November Gallery Challenge - Gold.
I got my Flickr Knickrs in a knot a couple of months ago when Yahoo spat the dummy and I had to create a new Yahoo ID. I ended up with multiple personalities, and they weren't all talking to each other. But I'm glad to say we are now all one happy family, and I've been able to start using Flickr again :)

Happy Birthday, Nonni!
It's party time! Today we're celebrating the birthday of my lovely STAMPlorations teamie, Nonni from Korttikarkuri - Runaway Cards. Sandie from London Days is kindly hosting the linky party.
Nonni is a fabulous cardmaker and expert colour-in-er ... colourer-in ... she's great with Copics! I don't own Copics, although I did bag a set of 24 Sharpies for half price in the supermarket yesterday - and they don't count as a spend because they fell into my trolley when I was grocery shopping :) They're still in the packet, so today I used my trusty Distress Inks to do a stencil print background, and inked the flower in Distress Ink then pulled the colour with a water brush. The stem is made from a brushstroke stamp. All stamps are STAMPlorations.
You need to click on over to STAMPlorations. For one, you can see Nonni's oh-so cute puppy, Rafa, making a guest appearance, and also the Design Team's pet gallery. And for another, you can't miss the fabulous offers Shery's got on at the moment with the pre-release and the stamp club.
I'm entering this card into Simon Says Monday Challenge - Anything Goes and CAS(E) This Sketch.

Anniversary Tag
Tags are definitely trending at the moment! CAS(E) This Sketch and Tag You're It have joined forces for a combined challenge (love it when that happens!), and tags are also the theme at Mixed Media Mojo.
I stamped the image of the couple on white card and coloured it with markers, then masked it while I stencilled the background with Distress Inks. I die-cut two folk hearts and covered them in glossy accents, then added a Dymo sentiment and a tie made from paper raffia and baker's twine.

Mellow Yellow
Today's card is brought to you by the colour Yellow. Or more precisely, the colours in this challenge at Just Add Ink:
Then we have the joint challenge at CAS(E) This Sketch and Fusion:
And bringing up the rear we have The Paper Players' 200th challenge, where we can choose to revisit one of the challenges selected by the Design Team. I chose Jaydee's clean and simple watercolouring:
I smooched some Distress Inks (Mustard Seed, Iced Spruce) onto an embossing folder (Craft Concepts, Grunge Stripe) and took a print, sloshed some Iced Spruce around the edges of the base card, grabbed the good old credit card and added some distressed lines. Stitched a piece of cotton tape to the panel, stamped a butterfly (Uniko Studio) onto spare card and sloshed some colour on, then fussy cut and stuck it onto the tape. And added a sentiment (Hero Arts CL646 Happy Birthday).
I'm in a Yellow phase at the moment, after having done Pink to death. More yellow tomorrow. It must be all the sunshine we're having :)

Birthday Waves
A quick and easy card today. A couple of stamps, paint some Distress Ink waves and you're done! I'll probably make a few of these in different colour schemes - they'd be great for male cards. I'm playing along with CAS(E) This Sketch:
I've used one of the three colour options from Make The Day Special:
I'm also entering it into Winnie & Walter Join In To Win
And Simon Says Wednesday Challenge, Anything Goes
And another entry into Keep It Simple - Watercolour.
Stamps: Winnie & Walter The Big, The Bold and The Happy
Distress Inks: Scattered Straw, Bundled Sage, Evergreen Bough
