Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Hop with STAMPlorations

Woohoo, it's the Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Hop, and STAMPlorations is one of the sponsors.

Now, every super hero needs their own mug, so I made two!  I used Winter Mug, then cut a mask for the centre and added my Super Hero and filled in the background with images and text from the set.  Here's a couple of close-ups.

Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

I'm actually playing along in a blog hop/challenge!  Namely, the Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers' Blog Hop.

I wanted to try out my new Ink on 3 fade out ink pad, and I'm pretty pleased with it.  I coloured with Zig Clean Colour real brush pens, a bit of watercolour pencil, and Distress Inks.  Not perfect, but a decent attempt for now.

I've used Rise and Grind and Always Tea Time from STAMPlorations.

Winter Coffee Lovers' Blog Hop

Time for the Winter Coffee Lovers' Blog Hop, and I'm playing along with STAMPlorations, one of the sponsors of this fabulous hop, using my new set, And Coffee.

I thought I'd go for a Christmassy feel this time.  I stamped the image in Antique Linen then white-embossed the coffee top (is there a technical name for coffee tops?  Can you tell I'm not a coffee drinker?) before watercolouring with Distress Inks.  The 'Season's Greetings' sentiment is from my Layered Holly set.

Pop on over to the STAMPlorations blog for some more fabulous creations from the team, and get a peek of Shery's new coffee-themed stamps.  You'll find all the details on how to play along at the Coffee Lovers' Blog Hop.

Apart from all the fabulous prizes on offer on the hop, you've also got the chance win the And Coffee set by leaving a comment on this blog post here and this blog post here by 11 December.  Christmas might come early!

STAMPlorations have a 30% sale on throughout December (not applicable to new releases and retiring products).  Single use and not combinable with any other codes.  Alternatively you can use my code STAMPGIRLSHIRLEY for 20% off multiple times.

Spring Coffee Lovers' Blog Hop

It's the Spring Coffee Lover's Blog Hop, and STAMPlorations is one of the super sponsors, so some of the STAMPlorations girls are playing along.  Who needs an excuse to create tea- and coffee-themed cards?

My first card has a hipster vibe using my new set, Brew-Tiful Day.  After stamping the image in black I stamped the sentiment, then added a dash of colour with a Sharpie.

I made this little gift card using Shery's Bloomin' Spring Coffee Basket, adding a touch of Distress watercolouring.

My final card uses my Tea Blend Word Art.  I trimmed the border off, then blended Salty Ocean Distress Ink around the edges.  I added a china teacup and saucer (from Shery's Always Tea Time), complete with gold rims

Oh Frap!

I just had to have this CUTplorations die, it really appeals to my sense of humour, and it's arrived just in time for me to play along with the Fall Coffee Lovers' Blog Hop before it closes tomorrow.

I had this Gelli print in my stash with lovely autumnal colours, made with lace and bubblewrap.  I stamped the Coffee Cup Large image, then added some red and yellow pencil shading.  Added a sentiment using words from The Bee's Knees Pets, mounted it onto copper card, added the diecut sentiment and it's done.

I'm also adding this to Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes

and Simon Says Work It Wednesday - Red, Orange, Yellow and/or Brown.

Fancy A Cuppa?

I've been playing with my Paper Artsy Infusions powders again, this time in autumnal colours.  I started by stamping the Tea Cup Row, then masked it while I sprinkled some Infusions powders around and spritzed with water.  I removed the mask immediately (it was already disintegrating with being so wet), then added a hint of shading with Hickory Smoke Distress Ink.

Coffee Lovers' Summer Blog Hop - A Cupful of Love

I'm trying to use up all my bits of stencilled and gelli-printed card, and this piece was just big enough to stamp the coffee cup on then fussy cut out so that I can play along with the Coffee Lovers' Summer Blog Hop.

The wonky stitched frame is one of the new range of CUTplorations dies from STAMPlorations which are coming out in July.

I'm also playing along with Virginia's View, where it's all about colour.

My coffee cup background started off by sponging Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade and Abandoned Coral onto white card, then using a wet acrylic block to bleach a pattern (you can just see some of the bleached areas).  I didn't like that very much so I sponged Picked Raspberry through the hearts stencil to pretty it up.

And I'm playing along at CAS Mix Up where the theme is Stamps + Die cuts + my choice of sponging, bleaching and stencilling.

STAMPlorations Inspiration #67

It's Inspiration Tuesday at STAMPlorations, and we've got some fabulous cards for your delectation and delight.  Continuing on from my STAMPlorations Spotlight post last week, I made another similar card using the same technique.

Seeing as it's the Spring Coffee Lovers' Blog Hop, I thought I'd fill my coffee cup with spring flowers!

I'm also entering into the current Fusion challenge:

I've used the photo inspiration and transferred all the colours to my flowers.

And Inspired By All The Little Things (the flowers in a container).

Pop on over to the STAMPlorations blog to see what the rest of the DT have made, and leave a comment there for your chance to win a gift certificate in the monthly draw.

Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop - Take Two

I'm back again at the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.  I was rummaging through my stash of stamped images looking for inspiration for another card when I saw this stamped piece.  They're holding coffee cups.  Too good an opportunity to miss.

It's a really old stamp by Stamps Happen (now defunct?) but I love it.  I coloured it with Tombow pens and a water brush, then mounted it onto chocolatey brown card which has a lovely pearlescent sheen to it, which doesn't show up here, unfortunately.  Added some designer paper mounted on to the card base, and stamped the sentiment from STAMPlorations Vignette: Eat Drink Be Merry.  I've curled the lower edge of the stamped panel up, which you can just about make out in the photo.

I'm also entering it into Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Special Lady/Girly.

***************

I'm over at STAMPlorations tonight, this time inspired by Pablo Picasso.  Here's a sneak peek.

Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

I'm playing along with The Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.  I shouldn't be here - I don't like coffee, in fact I hate it.  But fortunately for me and other coffee haters (I can't be the only one, can I?) the hop is open to tea drinkers as well.

I have very few coffee-related stamps, which isn't surprising, but I don't have many tea-related stamps either, which is surprising.  This stamp is from an old Kanban set.  I inked it up with Distress Inks and spritzed it, then stamped it off the edge of the card.  I sloshed some watered-down ink for a base, and added some splatters (yay!) and a sentiment.

I'm also entering it into Less is More - This Makes Me Happy.  Sloshing and splattering on cards makes me very happy.  Drinking tea makes me happy (nothing like a good cuppa).  Drinking wine makes me very happy - I may have to make another card ;)

And Inkspirational - Sprinkle.  I'm hoping that splattering also counts as sprinkling!
