Stellar Christmas Cards

The stars have a aligned for a few cards.  It all started with this card of Michele's:

Michele's card
Those big, bold stripes.  The snowflakes, the sentiment.  That huge star.  When a Sizzix stars die came up for sale, it was meant to be!  It leapt into my basket :)

As luck would have it, the challenge at Less Is More is Let It Shine.

And the challenge at Simon Says Monday Challenge is Star Light, Star Bright.

So then I made another version inspired by ...

this wooden star at Inspired By All The Little Things:
It's also going into Uniko's Christmas challenge, seeing as I've used their sentiment (the sentiment on the first card is also from Uniko).

And here's my third stellar creation:

Closing the circle with another nod to Michele's card.

This one's headed for AAA Cards - Christmas

Hot Pink Tulips

Been sloshing again, it's habit-forming.  Again, using Distress Re-inkers and a broad waterbrush to paint tulips (sort of).  I toyed with the idea of scribbling flower outlines but decided against it for this one.  But my fingers are itching...

I'm entering this into The Challenge Keywords.  I've hit every one except square.

And The Flower Challenge - Anything Goes

We're off to a summer street party now.  And in typical English fashion, it's raining.

Autumn Flower

I've been playing with Paper Artsy Infusions again, this time with this large flower stencil.  I was inspired by Inspired By All The Little Things.

In a recent tidy-up of my craft room, I rediscovered several sheets of foil, so I've been foiling everything in sight.  Just a touch of copper here and there.

I'm also playing along at Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes

Creative Chemistry Revisited - Mk IV and Inspired By All The Little Things

I've been catching up with my Creative Chemistry homework.  Week 4's homework was to use archival ink on your project.  The background text is partially inked with Versafine Onyx Black, but the butterflies panel is stamped with Archival.

I've been busy with DT assignments, but made some time to play along with Inspired By All The Little Things, where they've got this gorgeous inspiration photo:

As much as I was inspired by the photo, I was also inspired by guest designer Ardyth's interpretation.  She has this knack of stripping down the elements of an inspiration card or graphic and rebuilding it in her own innate style, yet still managing to retain the essence of the inspiration - and keep it CAS!

Here's my interpretation, influenced by Ardyth's interpretation.

STAMPlorations Inspiration #67

It's Inspiration Tuesday at STAMPlorations, and we've got some fabulous cards for your delectation and delight.  Continuing on from my STAMPlorations Spotlight post last week, I made another similar card using the same technique.

Seeing as it's the Spring Coffee Lovers' Blog Hop, I thought I'd fill my coffee cup with spring flowers!

I'm also entering into the current Fusion challenge:

I've used the photo inspiration and transferred all the colours to my flowers.

And Inspired By All The Little Things (the flowers in a container).

Pop on over to the STAMPlorations blog to see what the rest of the DT have made, and leave a comment there for your chance to win a gift certificate in the monthly draw.

STAMPlorations Spotlight Feature

I'm over on the STAMPlorations blog tonight with a step-by-step on how I made this card.  Pop on over and take a look!

I'm entering this into Inspired By All The Little Things:

Can't see the connection?  The purply flowers, the tulipy flowers, how they radiate out, the sentiment banner....

I'm also entering it into Loll and Bonnie's new challenge, CASE Mix Up.  Stamping, watercolouring and my choice - gesso!  Lots of it!
