Climbing Flowers
I've been playing with my new Neat & Tangled stamps. I've used the colour scheme from Dynamic Duos:
And I'm also entering it into the Little Tangles Un-birthday Birthday Challenge which is running as part of the Neat & Tangled month-long birthday bash.
The challenge is to create a birthday card or project using a stamp set that is not usually associated with birthdays. Which I did. But then I also added a birthday stamp on the twill tape so I hope that doesn't make it ineligible ;)
I stamped the images in Versamark and white embossed them, and smudged some colour around them. There was already a kink in the twill tape so, being too lazy to iron it out, I tied some pink cord around it to make it look deliberate. The pink cord had a mind of its own so I just let it do its thing.

Graffiti Dosh
Here's a card for those hard-to-make-for young men who don't appreciate cards with golfers or racing cars on them. It's got money on it instead - far nicer to look at, and even nicer to spend :)
I'm entering it into A Blog Named Hero challenge 29, Reduce Reuse Recycle.
The recycled bit is the paper bag which contained a pack of sequins from Neat & Tangled (don't forget to pop over for their month-long birthday bash - still lots of inspiration and prizes to be won). I thought it would make a nice holder for dosh or a voucher card.
I've used the colours from colourQ's new challenge:
And as I've used all Hero Arts AC026 Brush Strokes stamps, I'm also entering it into the Hero Arts Stamp Your Story Inspired By challenge:
The tag made me think of using the bag on a card and the arrow - well I just got carried away with it :)

Little Tangles Guest Designer
A couple of weeks ago I won the Neat & Tangled Everyday Circles stamp set and a pack of sequins from Danielle's Neat & Tangled July Release. So I made this card and entered into the Little Tangles Into the Woods challenge (where it got an honourable mention), CASE Study #151 (where it got an honourable mention) and CAS-ual Fridays Count Me In (where it was a contender). Triple whammy!!
I was doubly delighted when Ren-Yi asked me if I'd like to be a guest designer as part of the month-long birthday celebrations, so here's a birthday card to help Neat & Tangled celebrate their first year.
A birthday bash isn't complete without music, and one song guaranteed to get the party going is this one. Enjoy!
Be sure to keep visiting Neat & Tangled throughout August for fun and giveaways!

DIY Day Mk2
This is my second post today. Click here for DIY Day Mk1.
More DIY, this time with digi images. Uniko Studio are holding their first challenge, called Say "Hello".
I don't have any Uniko stamps - yet. So in the meantime I've used some free digital images that Bev has generously provided in her shop. I find digital images really, well, challenging. My printer and I don't see eye to eye on how the images will be used, and the printer won three times before I got the hang of it.
I used one of the speech bubbles and all three "hello" images. I created a border with two of the hellos and ran the border across the back of the card as well for added interest.
I used some baker's twine that my CAS-ual Fri-Dies prize were wrapped in, and added some Neat & Tangled sequins (that were also part of a win) to create the dot-dot-dots. Ok, got to dash-dash-dash.
(Sorry, couldn't resist.)

DIY Day Mk1
I've been doing some DIY. With triangles. Well, with non-triangles. I wanted to make a card featuring triangles for four challenges but the only triangle set I have wasn't inspiring me, so I made my own with some of the stamps from the Hero Arts AC026 Brush Strokes set.
Simon Says Wednesday challenge is ...
TRIANGLES!
Moxie Fab World has a challenge called Trendy Triangles.Hero Arts are having a Stamp Your Story Inspiration Challenge until the end of September where you trawl their galleries for inspiration.
My inspiration is from this card by Jennifer McGuire:
And oh, look! This week's Case Study card is also by Jennifer McGuire:

Sweetie-pie
This is my second post today. For Rosy Birthday click here.
I'm sliding in at the last minute for CASology's challenge, dessert.
And at the front of the queue with The Paper Players' colour challenge.
Borrowed stamp from my friend Mel, coloured with Tombows, Anita's 3D Clear Gloss Finish, machine stitched.
Short and sweet, sweetie!

Rosy Birthday
I'm back again with another card for the Little Tangles Birthday Bash challenge, Let's Celebrate.
I've used the colour scheme from this week's ColourQ challenge:
And I've taken inspiration from this week's Muse card by Laurie Willison:
After I'd stuck the roses onto the card I decided they needed pearls in the centres. The pearls were a magazine freebie and they came attached to the acetate in a spiral. Took the photo and was about to write the post when I moved things around on my work area (read dining table) and the rest of the pearl spiral ended up on the card, and I decided that it looked better with than without. So I painstakingly added each pearl to the card in a spiral fashion. Maybe sometimes less isn't enough - what do you think?
