Craft Stamper January Challenge - Take A Stamp

It's the first Craft Stamper Take It Make It challenge of the year, and we're shaking things up a bit.  From now on, we'll have alternate challenges: one month it will be "Take a Stamp", and the alternate month it will be "Take a Technique".  There will also be two winners each month: a randomly selected winner gets the prize that's on offer, and the winner voted by the Design Team gets their project published in Craft Stamper magazine, a guest design spot and a winner's profile.

So this month, it's take a stamp.  Any stamp.  More than one stamp if you like.  I couldn't stop at one. I bought some canvas boards from a discount shop to mess about with.  They're only 5x7 inches, so not too intimidating.  I threw some Distress paints on it, then stamped the grasses (Artemio) in Versafine Onyx Black, then added some Frantage embossing powder across the bottom.  The Paper Artsy butterflies were in my stash from a few months back - I'd stamped them onto stained/spritzed card and cut them out and they were patiently waiting to be used.

I hope you'll join in the challenge, because this is what you could win:

and all this! (There was too much for Trish to get it all in one photo!!)

One lucky participant will be randomly selected to win everything you see in both photos.  If that's not an incentive to play along, I don't know what is!  That's some serious candy, I'm drooling :)

Just remember, you have to use physical stamps for your main focus, and you must link back to the Craft Stamper challenge post (or at least the blog).  Some entries had no link back to the blog at all last month so unfortunately they were discounted.

And that's not all.  Come back next Friday because we're having a blog hop, with a prize package for one lucky random commenter at each of the 12 stops on the hop.  As well as the prize pack, each random prizewinner will also get a little piece of original art from that blog.  See you next week!

Love

Playing with my new STAMPlorations and Bee's Knees stamps :)  As soon as I saw this inspiration photo at The Card Concept I couldn't wait to use the bouquet.

I stamped the image on a square of card using Versafine Onyx Black then coloured with Distress markers and doodled a border.  The sentiment is stamped in Memento.  Apologies for the poor quality of my photo.

I'm also entering this into Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - New (my new stamps).

Red Rosebud Congrats

I've been playing with Rosebuds stamps again.  This time, I inked the back of the stamp with Festive Berries and Peeled Paint, spritzed and stamped it onto mixed media paper, then inked the right side of the stamp with Versafine Onyx Black and overstamped, and added some white highlights.  The background text is spun Sugar (I think!) and Shabby Shutters, spritzed and stamped, and some splatters, of course.

At Papertake Weekly, it's Anything Goes

And at Simon Says Monday Challenge, it's Old and New.  My new(ish) stamps are matted onto very old card and garnished with very old ribbon!

I'm over at STAMPlorations tonight with a pile of donuts/doughnuts - calorie-free ;)  Want some?

STAMPlorations Sketch #25 and New Bee's Knees Stamps

It's the first sketch of the new year at STAMPlorations.

I've tweaked it a little bit (who, me? Mrs Stretch-a-Sketch?) but you can see that all the elements from the sketch are represented.  I used the Rosebuds stamp and enhanced the image by adding a few dots on and around the buds.

Our guest designer for this sketch is the fabulous Kim from Art Keeps Me Sane.  Kim creates wonderful cards, especially with STAMPlorations stamps :).  Pop on over to the blog to see Kim's and the Design Team's inspiration for this sketch, and join in for your chance to win 3 fab digi stamps and a guest designer spot.

I've got some new stamps coming out at STAMPlorations today, and for one week only they are 10% off.  And if you are a STAMPlorations stamp club subscriber, you get an extra 15% off that!  Just use your personal discount code at checkout.

Seize The Birthday - Party

Welcome to the first Seize The Birthday challenge of 2015, and we're starting it with a party!

PARTY

If you don't want to create a party card, you can still play along with a birthday card.

I've created a party in a card for you.  I stamped the glasses repeatedly across the top of the card, then created the sentiment, overstamping with the red splatters, and added some red and crystal sequins.

Mixed Media Card Challenge

Happy New Year!  It's time for a new challenge at The Mixed Media Card Challenge, and this month our theme is "new", what else?

I stamped The Bee's Knees - Houses (available later this month), then coloured them in shades of purple, fussy cut the top line then layered it onto purple card with foam dots.  Added some purple stickle firework bursts and made a wire 2015, pinning it with two purple brads.

The card was 'inkspired' by the current Inkspirational challenge:

I'm also entering it into CAS(E) This Sketch:
